Established in 1988 by Michael Mackay, Mackay Family Funerals has been a trusted name in funeral care on the Central Coast for over three decades. As the region’s oldest family-owned funeral home, we are proud to continue a legacy of compassion, respect, and personalised service that spans generations.
From our humble beginnings, our mission has remained the same: to honour each life with dignity and to support families through one of life’s most difficult times. In 2011, our daughter Alysse joined the business, ensuring that our family continues to care for yours with the same heartfelt commitment .

Our Facilities
Our purpose-built funeral home and crematorium are located on nearly nine acres of landscaped gardens in Ourimbah, offering a serene and private setting for farewells. The chapel features elegant period furnishings, a baby grand piano, organ, large-screen TV for audiovisual tributes, and a modern sound system. Adjacent to the chapel is our Tea House, providing convenient on-site catering for after-service gatherings .
Our Commitment
At Mackay Family Funerals, we believe in providing transparent pricing with no hidden costs. Our services are booked 90 minutes apart, allowing families ample time to reflect and honour their loved ones without feeling rushed.

Our Services
Pre Paid Funerals
In NSW Pre-Paid funeral funds must be invested in a Government guaranteed fund. This ensures that the Pre Paid Monies can never be misused and the Funeral Home is only paid once someone has passed away.
Floral Services
For over a decade, L & A Flowerland have been providing Floral tributes to the Mackay Family. Here at Mackay's we do not take commissions from Florists and insist that our families receive the best value and quality available on the Central Coast.

The first important question we will ask, is whether you require a Burial or a Cremation Service. (The reason we need to know this is because our documentation differs when having a Cremation Service)
